It arrived last night, small, naked, vulnerable,
and open to a zillion possibilities. A tiny white flannel elf, lovingly packaged in several layers of wrapping
even though it is not even breakable. The first time I held it I already knew what it wanted! It was communicating
with me! This is going to be a fun month, little elf child. Welcome to the first step in becoming Real. --Karen

It kept crying that it was cold, so I made it a cape.

Sept. 5~
The little elf has been misbehaving very badly. He
won't leave Holly's purple girl alone. I tried separating them, and all they did was whine. I can't wait to ship them
to Sunny, they are driving me insane!

The elf arrived at my home today. Karen warned me of his antics so I kept a close eye on
him and didn't let him near my rabbit. Surprisingly, he seems to be well behaved so far...maybe a little too well behaved.
I think he's planning something and is hoping to keep me off guard. Hmmm...

The "elf" has sprouted wings, a fiery red mop of hair and a nastier attitude since I fed it after
midnight and it became a gremlin! To think all this time, I thought it was just a pesky elf when it was really a jr.
gremlin in training. What a trouble maker! I can't wait to mail him to Brenda. It's been so hard keeping him in
the cage, especially since he's got wings now and he's harder to catch. -sunny-

the elf has come to visit aunt Carol! I gave him a mouth and he wouldn't stop talking so I have sewed his new mouth shut,
he is terrorizing all they toys and has decided to stay for New Years. UH OH! you better leave that dinosaur alone he's not
as friendly as he looks! More to come ,Carol
