Helly Macabre

I found this unfortunate looking doll at a garage sale last summer. She is a 1975 vinyl Holly Hobbie doll put out by Knickerbocker. As you can see, she has some issues. Like Hello Kitty, she has no mouth to speak of (or with) but even Hello Kitty has a nose and our little Holly doesn't even have much of that...just two haunting black dots for eyes...

She's pretty creepy already but I'd like to see her even creepier.

A note should be made about Carol's rabbit mask: when it arrived, I found that for some unknown reason the paint had decided to sweat. Our theory is that it was the humidity as it was shipped. I sprayed it with two coats of Dresden Clear Glaze. It is no longer sticky, but I think we should all watch it and make sure the stuff worked!

Another note about the rabbit mask:
When it arrived at my house, it was not damaged from shipping, but was a little sticky still. When I took the packaging paper off, some of it stuck to the mask and made a couple of rough spots. I decided that the best thing to do was to repaint the mask and re-seal it. I repainted it with cream colored Delta Ceramcoat paint and sealed it with clear nail polish. That ought to hold it for now! I shipped it directly to Sunny so that it wouldnt risk getting any further damaged.

I had quite a weekend with Helly and Ballyhoo!
I told Ballyhoo that Helly was behind schedule, so it would have to be Helly's turn first. Ballyhoo is very sweet and said that would be no problem, she would be happy to play with my other monstrous dolls and toys.
Helly, on the other hand, is quite a handful! She is not fresh or rude or mean, but man, can she make a mess! She got into my paints while I was sleeping and ruined her dress. I told her she was going to have to wear it anyway, I couldn't afford to buy her a new one. Wait until you see what she painted on it! She is a naughty one!
She knew EXACTLY what she wanted me to help her with: her hair. So we went to the dolly hairdresser and........
well, just wait until you see her now! You won't recognize her!
We also took a field trip to a cemetery near my house to pose for some pictures.  Helly was delighted to find a tiny gravestone just her size. She posed next to it, and when the picture was developed, a ghost appears to be standing next to her and the gravestone! (it could be the camera, but who knows.....)
She is full of energy and ready to go visit Auntie Kata, but I want to borrow a digital camera first and take more pics of her in the graveyard and see if her pet ghost comes back to visit.
